Champions League

I'd say that after a day of Champions' League action, we could use a post to discuss it, everything from what has happened to predictions for what will happen.  There were some interesting results in the first set of games, and I'd like to hear what people see coming next.

Star-divide

For starters, who are your frontrunners this year?  More English domination or will we see that fade a bit this time around?

Who comes out of the groups?  I know we learned a bit about 16 teams already, so I guess I should have gotten around to this earlier.  Sorry, if you wanted to herald Athletico as sure bets to advance, before they trounced PSV, or say that Roma was going to fall apart and might be in for a rough go early on; we'll just have to take your word for it and assume that you saw it coming before everyone else did.

Any players that you see stepping up and making an impact that might be a little off the radar?  Or predictions for the tournament's best player?

Thoughts on the action so far?

That's all I have for now, but there's a fair shot I'll post a couple more of these as everything progresses.

Didn’t see Tuesday’s game, but surely the talk has to be about Roma’s loss…that was amazing!

agree - I was shocked that Roma lost

I thought Liverpool were lucky to win their game.

Chelsea look like they are a machine — the result was never in doubt.

Barca look ok – not terrific – although Eto’o is getting into a bit of a groove.
