Keane and Ramos on Berbatov
This was an interesting set of quotes - thanks to Goal.Com and eleven a side.com:
Keane told eleven-a-side.com:
“If a player did not want to play for me, I know what I’d do – I’d drive him myself to wherever he wants to go just to get rid of him.”
When told about Keane's quote Tottenham coach Ramos said:
“Roy Keane is a great manager and has been a great footballer, with a lot of experience, so that’s an interesting point of view. Yes, a very interesting point of view.”

I’m surprised Ramos said anything at all. I thought Gus Poyet did 100% of the talking at White Hart Lane.
Seriously though, Spurs fans must be pretty annoyed that they never hear from their manager.

no - it is fine
we love Poyet and see him as taking over the club one day.
The problem we have at the mo is the higher ups — Levy et al do a lot right and then goof up the obvious stuff.

So it’s fine that the guy in charge never has to answer questions? I find that odd.

his job is to coach the side
in the mind of many futbol fans the British press are a bunch of stirring sods — no huge loss if Ramos does not bother chatting to them.

It’s not the press he owes an explanation to… it’s the supporters. Gus poyet is a nice guy, but don’t you Spurs fans want to hear from the guy in charge of what’s happening on the pitch once in a while?
