Open Thread/Preview

We are getting closer to the Euro 2008 final and the culmination of a month of wonderful futbol that has captured the imagination around the world. I am really looking forward to this final and think that it pits the two teams who probably deserve to be in the final (you can't always say that!) - I think that Germany pay have the edge because of their past big tournie knowledge but that will be negated if Michael Ballack is injured and does not play. Spain will also have a lot of players in their ranks who know how to win and don't know what it means to be a loser. Cesc, Puyol and Ramos to name three.

It looks as if Villa is out for Spain which will probably mean that Torries plays up front on his own.

I will be dashing back from the DC United v LA Galaxy game so I hope to get on line in time for this one!
