Ronaldo to Real Madrid?

This transfer looks like a real possibility to me. Ronaldo noted, before the Euro 2008 Championship kicked off in ernest, that he would be interested in a move if Real Madrid paid Man Utd 100 million Euros and also agreed to pay him 15 million pounds per year. He has followed up his earlier remarks by noting that he wants to

"take advantage of a great opportunity...Everybody knows what I want but things don't only depend on me...I am not the person who decides but I hope to complete my dream."

Frankly, the Utd fans who are kicking up a fuss saying he is under contract are being a bit hypocritical. They seem to forget that under Ferguson, Utd have regularly sought to off load players under contract when it suits them. Remember that David Beckham found out Utd had accepted a bid from Barcelona via a press release despite his years of good service.

The lesson Ronaldo has taken is that he should do what is in his interest. He has just led Utd to a massive double victory and will make them a fortune via a transfer to Real Madrid. Utd should let him go. If the price is fair he should be transfered.

I think Real Madrid will be thrilled with the way things are going and I suspect this transfer will in fact be completed in the following weeks.

What do you think?

I think he needs to go to Real Madrid too.

At least according to the UK papers, Ferguson doesn’t want good ol’ CR7 to leave Man U. It’s obvious to everyone that Cristiano Ronaldo wants to leave sooner rather than later. Why keep a player who really wants to leave?
