Ronaldo to Real? (not a repeat of this summer or last winter)
One thing can be said about Ramon Calderon. He doesn't give up. Not even when the groans of the masses attempt to drown out what he's trying to say.

After nearly a year of chasing after Cristiano Ronaldo, Ramon Calderon says that there is a deal in place for the Manchester United winger to move to Real Madrid in the summer. Sky Sports article
When will all of this end? Ronaldo has said that he wishes to stay at United, Sir Alex has said that United have no interest in selling him, yet here's Calderon again making a move. One must wonder if all this hoopla is having an effect on Real's on the field perfromence.
Personally (taking off my Man. U hat for a moment) it's just getting old. I know that as a United fan I probably sound like the rest, but I'm an American. I get my football coverage from Sky Sports and The Sun (amongst other websites). I can't get through a week or two without some mention of Calderon's pursuit.

The whole summer was surreal ....
Conspiracy theory I think not …
After the Champions league Final the scene was set, it looked inevitable that Ronaldo’s dream move to Real was about to come to fruition. Without even reading one sky sports article and or blog. It seemed quite obvious to even the jurno’s that he was gone, I mean the papers were spending the transfer fee for United vicariously. Then Sir Alex pulled his trump card. He was reported as saying “I will leave Manchester United if Ronaldo is sold” The story’s all took a differnt tone at that point, eveyone was looking towards Sir Alex and Ronlado’s big meeting. Then it was announced that Ronaldo would be staying in Manchester.
What was settled at that meeting? Sir Alex needed Ronaldo to stay a little longer, this is why I think he needed him for 1 more season.
1. To help Anderson, Nani, Raphael, settle (they followed Ronaldo to Manchester)
2. To see if Ronaldo may change his mind after becoming a United Legend and want to stay.
3. Or to save Ronaldo a carrer of scorn because leaving last summer and in that fashion would have been unforgivable.
I say sell now while the value is high. The team will become stronger and less dependant upon him. United may want to start cleaning their world image, the FA dont seem to be fans at the moment and it would be benificial for Platini to be for United not against.
